Kyla grew up in Red Oak, a small town in Iowa where she first became interested in veterinary medicine. This led her to the veterinary technician program at Iowa Western, where she graduated in 2021. She shares her home with Presley, a cattle dog, and Tennessee, a bloodhound. Kyla enjoys spending her free time with her family and playing Animal Crossing.
