When it comes to your pets, every moment matters, and we’re here for you in those urgent times. For serious health problems, injuries, and illness, find urgent and emergency care at The Ridge Veterinary Clinic during regular hours or at OVG Urgent Care during select evening hours.

For sudden or unexpected issues on weekends, you can find compassionate and timely care through OVG Urgent Care, conveniently located at Ridgeview Animal Hospital. As part of Omaha Vets Group, OVG Urgent Care can access your pet’s records if they’re a patient at our hospital or any of the Omaha Vets Group locations. After the visit, your pet’s urgent care notes will be available to our network hospitals for seamless follow-up.

Urgent & Emergency Care

If your pet is experiencing any of the following symptoms, immediate attention is urged:

• Trouble Breathing: fast, loud or exaggerated breaths (without panting), or heaving with every breath. 
• Weakness or Mobility Issues: such as collapsing, showing signs of weakness, shaking, seizures, or disoriented.
• Vomiting, Diarrhea, or Inability to Urinate 
• Trauma: hit by a car, fell, bit wound, ongoing bleeding.
• Severe Allergic Reaction or Symptoms: facial swelling, hives, extreme pain, loss of sight.
• Ingested Toxins/Poisonous Foods: visit aspca.org for a list of poisonous foods/toxins.
