We are a full-service veterinary practice in the heart of West Omaha.  We have an amazing team of animal lovers to provide your pet with the best medical and surgical care. Our goal is to have the highest quality of care for all our patients while also creating a warm and welcoming environment for our clients. We are committed to maintaining a long-term partnership with you and your pet through both routine visits and in times of illness.

Formerly Backlund Animal Clinic, Dr. Joanne Gaines purchased the clinic in 2021 when Dr. Nels retired.  Dr. Gaines founded our sister clinic, Ridgeview Animal Hospital, in 2001.  She, along with her business partner BJ Ravnsborg, also founded Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic in Papillion and Skyline Veterinary Clinic in Elkhorn.  In 2022, we added Cottner Creek Pet Clinic to our group (formerly Best Care West).  This group of five clinics works as a team in the Omaha metro area to offer a great work environment for our staff and top-notch care for our patients. 

Our purpose is:  To provide quality and progressive medicine and surgery by a family-oriented team of veterinary professionals.  We all work in our values of compassionate, family, progressive, teamwork, and trustworthy.
